Why you should seek nutritional advice
There are many different complaints or clinical pictures that are caused or influenced by nutrition. You may not initially associate your symptoms with your diet. It can be gastrointestinal complaints, obesity, headaches, lack of energy, sleep disorders, problems with hair or skin or mood swings and the list could go on forever.
The most obvious connection is certainly with weight problems, in whatever direction. Unfortunately, many people with a few or more kilos too many first try a diet – or several. Usually with the “success” that they dieted for a few weeks, only to fall back into their old pattern afterwards – and possibly gain even more weight than before the diet.
In the case of gastrointestinal complaints such as diarrhea, constant nausea or flatulence, the path to a nutritionist is also quite obvious for those affected. The situation is different for many of the other symptoms.
What does the path of a “normal” customer usually look like?
Let’s take sleep disorders.
At first you accept the problem, it’s just a bad phase, maybe it coincides with a stressful time at the office. It will be all right. Since it doesn’t do that, at some point you might get a drug from the pharmacy… then you visit your family doctor, but even that can’t solve the problem for good.
And now, at the very latest, is the time to find a good nutritionist. I am not saying that doctors can never help and that all our complaints are based on poor nutrition. However, it has been proven that the type of food we eat, e.g. the choice of food or the frequency of meals, has a major influence on our body, mind and soul.
There is also no “universal solution” that applies to everyone, as we are far too different in terms of our life history, genetics, lifestyle, everyday life and rhythm of life. That’s why it’s so important to look at each person individually and find the right path for each customer. This means taking the time for a nutritional consultation with the customer, which can’t just happen in passing.
As a nutritionist in Munich, it is important for me to get to know my clients and their lives. To find out how – and also where – he or she grew up, medical history, life circumstances, family history… it’s not just about nutrition. If you want to be advised and helped by me in Munich, you should be prepared to open up and tell me honestly and sincerely about yourself and your life – only then does a collaboration make sense, because only then can the counseling be successful.
My nutritional counseling is also not finished in three or four weeks. We are not talking about a diet, nor are we counting calories, but rather about a change. A change in diet and lifestyle. This takes time and, once again, everyone has their own rhythm. Some people find it easier to adapt, others need a little more time. But that’s absolutely ok, the important thing is the result!
To do this, we start by discussing what your goals are as my client, whether they are realistic and then we set out to achieve them until we have reached them. I would be happy to advise you in my practice in a trusting atmosphere in the heart of Munich in the immediate vicinity of the Isartor. Of course, I can also come to your home if you prefer. How may I help you?
